ASD Composite is a sandwich type composite panel with a total thickness of 2mm, 3mm or 4mm. It consists of two aluminium sheets with a LDPE core.
One side has a matt finish, and the other a gloss finish. It is coated with a high resistance polyester and protected with a transparent film. ASD Composite is supplied to the specification Alloy: AI 3105H44 and meets class 0 index for BS476 Part 6 and class 1 for BS476 Part 7. It therefore meets class 0 according to the National Building Regulations for fire resistance.
ASD Composite is available in a variety of colours, including standard road traffic grey for temporary use (see Dibond Traffic® for permanent composite). It is also available in sizes ranging from bespoke cut panels to 2000mm wide panels (made to special order). ASD Composite has many uses, including internal and external signage, sign trays and partitioning. The properties of the material allow it to be lightweight, whilst maintaining rigidity. Heavy duty equipment is not required to process ASD Composite. Excellent results are achieved by using light tools. ASD Composite can be processed in many different ways, including cutting, punching, drilling and routering
